Yes. Yachting is a structured, well-paid professional industry with clear progression paths, recognised qualifications, and decades of established hiring practice.
Entry-level crew typically earn competitive tax-advantaged salaries with food and accommodation provided on board, often exceeding equivalent shore-based roles.
Costs cover core safety certification, a professional CV, and time spent dockwalking. We help families budget accurately and avoid unnecessary spending.
Yachting is highly regulated for safety, with mandatory STCW training, strict on-board protocols, and professional crew structures.
From certification to a first role is typically a few weeks to a couple of months, depending on season, location, and preparation.
Most new crew stay in dedicated crew houses in the main hubs — affordable, social, and close to the docks where jobs are found.
Absolutely. Many crew build decade-long careers, progressing into senior officer, chef, and management roles both on board and ashore.
A complete end-to-end yacht career strategy for families who want clarity, structure, and a defined pathway into the industry.
