Accepted instead of an ENG1 on UK ships
MSN 1815 says the MCA accepts a valid national seafarer medical from these countries. It must come from a doctor approved by that country's maritime authority, and should have an English translation. These doctors cannot issue an ENG1.

Where to find an approved doctor
Each country keeps its own list of approved seafarer doctors. Start with its maritime authority:
Bermuda: only certificates from doctors appointed for Carnival UK or Princess Cruises. Malta: the examination must take place in Malta, by a doctor licensed by the Malta Medical Council.
Many yachts outside the UK flag still ask for an ENG1 by name. If in doubt, get the ENG1.
